Slope failure investigated by CRT.
Our experience in the geotechnical field enables us to address complex issues such as slope stability failures. In the above example, CRT was contracted to investigate the situation, and propose a solution.
After a site visit and a subsurface investigation, the failure mode was identified as a translational slide due to erosion of the toe of the slope. A stream at the toe of the slope was causing the erosion.
A recommended solution included erosion protection at the base of the slope coupled with an adequate drainage system to handle runoff in the vicinity of the slope.
